Dr. Alan Slootsky always loved math and science and knew that he wanted to help people, so he chose to go into dentistry. In 1980, he established Restorative and Implant Dentistry, and to this day, he continues to be rewarded by his patients and his ability to change their lives. Here, Dr. Slootsky takes care to keep up with the current technology while ensuring a high-quality, patient-focused experience for each individual patient.
Since graduating from dental school, Dr. Slootsky has taken thousands of hours of continuing education to provide his patients with exceptional care. His passion for dentistry continues to be fueled by the constant learning that dentistry requires and his ability to continuously increase patient outcomes.

Dr. Slootsky is a proud MAGD, but what does that actually mean?
MAGD is an acronym for Master in the Academy of General Dentistry. Before becoming a Master, Dr. Alan Slootsky was an FAGD, or Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. Both titles show that Dr. Slootsky has a deep level of commitment to bettering the patient experience, continuing education, staying current with the latest in dental technique, and being a leader to his peers.
This high honor is not handed out to just anyone. Dr. Slootsky has been selected by his fellow dentists. He has earned at least 1,100 approved continuing education credits and passed a 400-question comprehensive exam.
The Academy of General Dentists is made up of 35,000 doctors, and to be an MAGD is the highest recognition possible for the entire professional organization. It is not only strenuous because of the amount of time and effort it requires, but it is also incredibly rewarding. Dr. Slootsky has had the opportunity to study advanced dental techniques in many areas of dentistry and has earned the respect and admiration of his peers along the way.
